Praxis Lab
in Health Professions Education and Practice
Welcome to the Praxis Lab
The Praxis Lab is a space for health professions education & practice research labs working together at the University of Toronto and Toronto Academic Health Sciences Network. We bring together researchers who aim to bridge education theory with health professions education practice. Most of the members of the Praxis Lab work in a practical role in health professions education (e.g. as clinicians, educators, administrators) whilst also engaging in education science, thus enabling practical, evidence-informed change.
Meet our Lab Directors

Stella Ng, PhD
Co-Director of the Praxis Lab. Advancing knowledge of critical reflection and application of critical pedagogy in the health professions/sciences to foster more collaborative, compassionate, and ethical health care and health science.

- Engage in praxis-based knowledge mobilization in health professions education (our core practice).
- Bridge diverse perspectives and values multiple ways of knowing to make a better world (our core value).
