Goal: This project aims to clarify what we mean when we say critical reflection and critically reflective practice. To do this, it focuses on synthesizing and expanding upon extant theory that informs these constructs and approaches. It also focuses on exploring what critical reflection and associated pedagogies look like, and the impacts they have, with regards to the social aspects of health care and science (i.e. collaboration, compassion, ethics, equity, and systems-based practice).

Example articles include "Re-envisioning paradigms of education: towards awareness, alignment, and pluralism", "Critically reflective practice and its sources: A qualitative exploration", and "Toward 'seeing' critically: a Bayesian analysis of the impacts of a critical pedagogy".
